ANGELS ARE HIS MESSENGERS by Pam Clark The word “angel” means messenger, and if you hear the term “worker”, you know that could mean any number of different things. So it goes with angels. They are messengers and while many are just duty bound, we know that even the Messiah is called His Angel, and is even called “the Messenger of the Covenant.” But when those or that angel comes near, we are aware of a change in the room or area where we are! The angels of young children have access to the Presence of God. Matthew 10:10 says: “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.” Don’t you notice how so many people “melt” around a baby? God attends their innocence and angels witness it and report. God wants to know about their choices for Him. He records their life in a book! But people are a group too, a people group, and they respond to their surroundings. God has all kinds of angels and some are governing angels. (He is not just in baby land.) Others are tending angels to His works. There are many kinds. Like I just shared, the word “workers” could apply to many different kinds, as does “angels.” I can’t go into a big study here, but I do want you to know that angels are at work even still today! God has His Territory (He calls Heaven His Home, and earth He says is His footstool.) And He gave mankind choice so that He could have fellowship with them, and not just as a “command and order” relationship only, but as a Father and friends. It seems to me that I have gotten a bit sidetracked, but it was important. What I want to share here is that God is sending His angels to see and confirm things, because His people are crying out. Many will not even realize that those angels are there. When things are not okay, people do cry out, and just like a parent, He will respond with further investigation to see if the report or presumed message is true. Many never know that He is even checking on them. The dark angels have their own purposes, but God put MANKIND in charge as His people to have dominion and subdue. That is what He does, it is Who He Is, an Overseer. Sometimes more are watching than we think! But sometimes man will abuse his powers and the Bible is filled with stories about that. But the standard He has is not biased for wrong. I can’t share the whole Bible here, but it’s a worthy read, especially in words that we all can understand. We need to understand the Nature of those words and how He means them! It’s about a relationship with a Worthy One! Today, many are crying out and God hears it and He is sending out His angel messengers to check it out and see if it is so. Just like Sodom and Gomorrah, but you never know they are even there or always who they are. Lot recognized the Presence of God on them but the others didn’t. This is not just about “sex sin” as is often referred, although God will deal with that. This is about how people are being treated when they cry out. Intercession is important but it works in the context of God’s Word. Many try to set up their own standards and personal governing, but the angels are checking it out and reporting to God. And He will make judgments based on that, and it is still happening today. Many want to live by others’ intercessions but have none of their own. They won’t get far, and especially on a wrong foundation. And if there is no understanding, many things can be taken the wrong way and chaos happens. God pays attention to those babies and to those who are working to have fellowship with Him. But we also have to not forget that He is much higher in Wisdom and Understanding than we are. But He will respond, and we can learn Him more through that. He wants us to SEE Him! But He does have a Book and we can learn much through that and through our prayers. God sends warnings and then He acts, and if people don’t see the signs, they may not interpret the events correctly. As Kenny Rogers used to sing, “You’ve got to know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away and when to run!” I hope you know what I mean. We need to learn how to work and walk with God. He is HERE! And we need Him.
